An Unusual Role Offering the Best of Both Worlds
Combining both being a Workshop Engineer 50% of your time and a Field Service Engineer for the other 50%, for a packaging machinery manufacturer supplying the food industry.
Basic Salary
Up to £45,000
Benefits
- Overtime to earn £5,000 to £7,000
- Commission and Bonus on aftersales to earn up to £2,000

Location
Home based but you MUST be commutable to the company's UK office near Heathrow airport, as your time as a Workshop Engineer, will be office based. All other time will be field based, covering the UK.

Job Description
This is a hybrid Workshop Engineer / Field Service Engineer role, with a 50 / 50 split of your time.
As a Workshop Engineer, you will be working on machines pre-installation in the workshop at the company's office and as a Field Service Engineer you will be required to work on client sites and will be responsible for installation, commissioning, repair, and refurbishment of machines on sites across the whole UK.

Overtime is paid door to door and you can expect to travel and stay away from home 1 to 2 nights per week and to be available to work weekends twice a month if required.
Person Specification
- You will be an experienced Workshop Engineer, or a Factory Maintenance Engineer who is now looking for a hybrid workshop and field service role.
- The company will also consider an experienced Field Service Engineer who would like a better work-life balance, spending less time away from home.
- Any previous experience of working on packaging machinery and/or of working within the food industry would be advantageous.
- You MUST be a qualified Multi Skilled Electrical / Electronic Engineer, having completed at least a full apprenticeship.
