Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Thursday 8am-4.30pm & Fridays 6am-2.30pm

Job Description
We're looking for a Workshop Engineer to join our Materials Testing team, preparing precision metal test samples used in a variety of engineering and industrial projects.
This is a hands-on role where you'll work with machinery, tooling and materials to support critical testing activities. Full training can be provided for the right person.

What You'll Be Doing
- Operating workshop and machining equipment safely and effectively.
- Preparing precision metal samples for testing.
- Maintaining quality and traceability throughout the production process.
- Supporting laboratory and engineering teams with technical requirements.
- Ensuring work is completed accurately and within agreed timescales.
- Maintaining high standards of housekeeping, quality and safety.
- Contributing to continuous improvement and efficient workshop operations.
Qualifications
What We're Looking For
We're looking for practical, reliable individuals who enjoy working with their hands, take pride in producing high-quality work, and have a strong attention to detail.
This role could suit candidates from a wide range of backgrounds, including:
- Engineering or manufacturing
- Production or assembly
- CNC or machining environments
- Automotive or vehicle maintenance
- Mechanical fitting or fabrication
- Welding and metalwork
- Construction trades
