Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

Experience in welding or metal fabrication would be beneficial but is not essential.

Site work and other responsibilities

Most work is carried out at our Northamptonshire workshop. However, we provide nationwide support to our customers, so you may occasionally be required to undertake:

  • On-site installation and servicing work
  • Travel to customer locations across the UK
  • Overnight stays where necessary
  • Delivery or transportation of customer vehicles
  • Customer-facing equipment demonstrations and training

As a family-run business, there are times when it is all hands on deck to get jobs completed on time. You must be willing to help with reasonable tasks outside your usual remit, such as valeting and preparing a vehicle for handover, transporting vehicles, or supporting another area of the workshop during busy periods.

Experience and knowledge

Applicants must have practical experience or knowledge in one or more of the following:

  • Mechanical engineering
  • 12V vehicle electrics
  • Plumbing, pumps, or water systems
  • Vehicle conversions
  • Water purification equipment

Experience with hydraulics, pneumatics, welding, or metal fabrication would also be useful.
