About This Role
Are you a Workshop Engineer, HGV Technician, or Plant Fitter looking for your next opportunity in Avonmouth? This Workshop Engineer role sits within our Environmental Municipal Civil Business Unit, focusing on sweepers and specialist equipment, offering hands-on, stable work with strong career potential.
- Carry out fault diagnosis, servicing, and repair of sweepers and municipal hire fleet equipment
- Complete HGV PMI inspections, chassis maintenance, and support MOT preparation and delivery
- Record all work accurately, including parts used and time taken, ensuring compliance and traceability
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organised workshop environment in line with company standards
- Support stock checks and work collaboratively with operations to keep fleet availability high
About You
You may already be a Workshop Engineer, HGV Technician, Mechanic, or Maintenance Engineer with chassis or municipal equipment experience. If you have worked with HGVs, plant, or similar machinery and enjoy problem solving, we want to hear from you, even if your experience comes from a different but transferable background.

- Experience with HGV PMI inspections and or chassis maintenance
- Confident in fault finding, diagnostics, and carrying out repairs independently
- Strong understanding of workshop health and safety practices
- Able to manage your workload and communicate effectively with managers and team members
