Workshop Engineer
Location: Kettering
Salary: £30,000 - £41,000
Neos are working with a growing materials handling solutions company based across the UK. The business supplies a complete range of; Materials Handling, Powered Access, Cleaning Equipment & much more.

The Role
To support the Workshop Manager in successful delivery of maintenance of assets, inspections, prep for sales and repairs in a professional manner. Ensure that workshop and on-site activities are carried out safely.
- Ensure that all work is delivered to the required HSEQ standards required and that the workshop team continually strive for continuous improvement.
- You will work closely with Field Service Engineers, Service Admin and Parts team both at branch and head office level.

Key Responsibilities
- Repair, maintain, and service Forklift trucks, Material Handling Equipment.
- General upkeep of Hire fleet, Including PDIs.
- Work closely with the parts department to identify correct parts.
- Adhere to site Health & Safety requirements.
- Follow and maintain the companies, business, and team objectives.
- Pursue personal development of skills and knowledge necessary for effective performance of the role and attend training courses as required.
- Adhere to Group companies Quality and Compliance responsibilities, and policies and procedures.
- Adhere to Health & Safety responsibilities and procedures.
Experience and Qualifications
Essential
- Previous experience of forklift / materials handling equipment engineering
- Diagnostic and problem-solving skills
- Numeracy skills
- Analytical with an eye for detail
- Excellent communications skills
- Able to work to tight deadlines to turn work around.
- Flexible and willing to contribute by helping others
- Courteous, friendly, and tactful

Desirable
- NVQ in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent)
- Experience in the materials handling and plant industry or similar
- Familiarity / good working knowledge of field service Software (ie working from a tablet / hand held device)
