Driver Hire is recruiting on behalf of a leading forklift company in East Kilbride.
We’re looking for a reliable, mechanically minded Workshop Fitter to join a busy hire fleet operation. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience working on plant machinery, vehicles, or industrial equipment who is looking for a long-term career.

Key Responsibilities
- ✅ Prepare forklifts for hire
- ✅ Carry out Pre-Delivery Inspections (PDI)
- ✅ Complete off-hire inspections and identify faults
- ✅ Service, maintain, and carry out minor repairs
- ✅ Keep the workshop and yard safe, clean, and organised
- ✅ Complete job records accurately
What We’re Looking For
- ✔ Strong mechanical skills
- ✔ Experience with plant, vehicles, or industrial equipment
- ✔ Team player with a proactive attitude
- ✔ Good attention to detail and commitment to safety
Forklift experience and knowledge of hydraulic, diesel, LPG, or electric systems is desirable but not essential. Full training provided.
