Role Description

The Workshop Manager is a full-time, on-site role based at Topaz Detailing Riyadh in Riyadh. This role oversees daily workshop operations, including scheduling and coordinating detailing and paint protection film jobs, assigning tasks to technicians, and monitoring workflow to ensure timely and high-quality delivery of services. The Workshop Manager is responsible for supervising the team, enforcing health and safety standards, and maintaining equipment and inventory to support smooth operations. Day-to-day duties include inspecting completed work for quality, resolving operational issues, liaising with front-of-house or customer service staff on job requirements, and implementing process improvements. The role also involves reporting on performance metrics, supporting staff training, and contributing to a positive, professional workshop culture.

Key Responsibilities

  • Team Leadership & Workflow: Supervise, schedule, and delegate tasks to detailing and PPF technicians. Distribute job cards, monitor daily workflow, resolve operational issues, and maintain peak workshop efficiency.
  • Technical Supervision & Panel Disassembly: Specialized car disassembly and reassembly—including hands-on stripping and retrofitting body panels, trim, and technical parts—ensuring factory-grade execution without damaging delicate exotic vehicle systems.
  • Vehicle Intake & CRM Inspection: Perform detailed pre-work intake inspections on arriving vehicles and log all findings, photos, and job requirements directly into the CRM software before work begins.
  • Customer Education & Product Advisory: Act as a technical expert to educate clients on Topaz PPF, detailing, and ceramic coatings, explaining the value, application process, and proper maintenance.
  • Sales & Marketing Alignment: Partner closely with the Sales and Marketing teams by providing periodic workflow updates, technical insights, and progress status on active jobs to ensure seamless internal alignment.
  • Inventory & Vendor Operations: Manage stock levels for PPF materials, detailing products, tools, and all relevant materials. Conduct stock counts, order inventory to ensure seamless supply availability.
  • Quality Control & Safety Compliance: Perform final inspections on all vehicles to ensure flawless detailing and installation standards before handover. Enforce strict workplace safety protocols, local compliance regulations, Brand guidelines and regular equipment maintenance.

Experience & Qualifications

  • Industry Experience: Minimum 5+ years of hands-on / supervisory experience in high-end automotive detailing, PPF application, and workshop operations.
  • Technical Mastery: Deep mechanical and technical knowledge of luxury/exotic vehicle structures, panel stripping, component retrofitting, and specialized detailing products.
  • Operational & Software Skills: Proven track record in scheduling, inventory control, vendor management, and comfort using CRM/workshop management software for job tracking and vehicle inspections.
  • Communication & Sales Support: Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to educate clients, collaborate across sales and marketing teams, and report on daily operational progress. Fluency in English is required (Arabic is a plus).
  • Education & Safety Standards: Demonstrated commitment to workplace safety, SOP compliance, and equipment upkeep, backed by relevant technical or vocational qualifications in automotive/mechanical management.
