Job Title
We are looking for someone to assist the team with the cleaning, maintenance and mechanical repair of returning hire equipment. We have a friendly environment where the rapid growth of our business means we support the development of our talented people.
THX aspires to be the hire company of choice for specialist contractors, offering the latest in a very large range of hire equipment.
Responsibilities
You will be responsible for:
- Cleaning and maintaining the presentation of equipment, including touching up paintwork and re-spraying
- Inspecting and testing returning hire equipment (training given)
- Rebranding new equipment with THX stickers
- PAT testing (training given)
- Using a computer-based system for administration
- Repairing a very large range of mechanical and/or electrical tools and equipment
- Regularly checking, cleaning and tidying our yard, workshop, warehouse and vehicle parking areas
- Providing support to our warehouse, workshop and driving teams as required
Working Hours
Monday to Friday working hours, overtime may sometimes be required to meet customer demand.

Location
Currently based in Bedford (MK41 0QB), but relocating in the new year to MK43 0YL.
Requirements
It is essential that you bring:
- Previous experience in the maintenance and/or repair of a range of equipment and tools
- Mechanical or electrical experience
- A practical understanding and mindset, with the ability to work quickly and methodically
- A willingness to learn
- Experience in cleaning, organising and tidying
- Physical fitness and a hard-working, team-player attitude
- Excellent verbal communication skills
- A can-do attitude with a willingness to help out
- The ability to concentrate while doing repetitive tasks
