Role Description
The Workshop Operative role at DuraSto is a full-time, on-site position based in Gloucestershire. The Workshop Operative will support the end-to-end van conversion process, including preparing vehicles, installing racking systems, contributing to full interior fitouts, assist with stock handling, and final checks to ensure each conversion meets customer specifications. The Workshop Operative may also be required to carry out work on customers' sites.

- Strong attention to detail, quality-focused mindset
- Effective teamwork and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate with colleagues and follow guidance from supervisors.
- Practical workshop skills, including safe use of hand and power tools, basic mechanical assembly, and fitting experience.
- Ability to read and follow technical drawings, measurements, and written instructions to complete installation and fitout tasks accurately.
- Commitment to maintaining health and safety standards in a workshop environment.
- Good organizational skills, including time management, task prioritization, and maintaining a tidy and efficient work area.
- Willingness to learn new techniques and adapt to evolving processes and customer requirements.
- Previous experience in vehicle conversions, joinery, carpentry, light engineering, or a similar hands-on role is beneficial.
- Right to work in the United Kingdom; relevant vocational training or apprenticeships in a technical or trade discipline are an advantage.
