Job Title: Production Operative Timber Building

Sector: Manufacturing

Location: Norwich, Norfolk

Type: Temp to Perm/ Permanent

Pay rate: £13.25 per hour (Pay increase after successful probation period)

Shifts: Day Shift 7:00- 17:00

ISQ Recruitment is looking for a reliable and motivated Workshop Assembly Operative to join our client’s team on a permanent basis. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working with their hands, takes pride in doing a good job and is looking to build their experience in a practical manufacturing environment.

Whether you have previous workshop experience, enjoy DIY or woodworking in your spare time, have used tools in another role, or simply have a positive attitude and a willingness to learn, we’d love to hear from you.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Cutting, assembling and preparing timber components
  • Using a range of hand tools, power tools and fixed machinery — full training can be provided
  • Working as part of a team to meet production schedules and deadlines
  • Checking your work to ensure a high standard of quality and accuracy
  • Keeping your work area clean, organised and safe
  • Following health & safety procedures at all times

Experience & Qualifications

  • No formal qualifications are required
  • Previous workshop, manufacturing or trade experience is an advantage, but not essential
  • DIY, woodworking, assembling, construction or experience using tools is desirable
  • Most importantly, you'll have a can-do attitude and a willingness to learn
  • Full training and support will be provided to help you develop in the role
