Are you an experienced Workshop Supervisor, Joinery Team Leader, or Senior Bench Joiner looking to take the next step in your career?

Our client is a well-established manufacturer of bespoke, high-end timber doors, frames, and panels, supplying both prestigious commercial and residential projects. Due to continued growth, they are looking for a hands-on Workshop Supervisor to oversee a skilled team of bench joiners, sprayers, and workshop operatives.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a respected, growing business that prides itself on craftsmanship, quality, and attention to detail.

Benefits

  • Salary £40,000 - £46,000, depending on experience
  • Working hours:
    • Monday to Thursday: 7:00am - 4:00pm
    • Friday: 7:00am - 3:15pm
  • 20 days holiday plus bank holidays

The Role

Reporting into senior management, you will be responsible for leading the day-to-day operations of the joinery workshop, ensuring production targets, quality standards, and delivery deadlines are achieved.

Key Responsibilities Include

  • Supervising a team manufacturing bespoke timber doors and frames
  • Leading, motivating, and developing workshop staff to maximize performance and morale
  • Reading and interpreting technical drawings, specifications, and cutting lists
  • Ensuring all products meet strict quality and craftsmanship standards
  • Planning and coordinating workflow to maximize efficiency and minimize waste
  • Monitoring productivity and supporting the achievement of production deadlines
  • Enforcing health, safety, and environmental procedures across the workshop
  • Conducting performance reviews and providing coaching and feedback
  • Managing attendance, timekeeping, holidays, and disciplinary matters when required
  • Working closely with the wider manufacturing team to ensure smooth operations

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Proven experience within a joinery, furniture manufacturing, timber door, or woodworking environment
  • Previous supervisory, team leader, or management experience within a workshop or manufacturing setting
  • Strong people management skills, with experience conducting performance reviews and managing employee relations matters
  • The ability to lead and communicate effectively within a multicultural workforce
  • A solid understanding of workplace Health & Safety regulations
  • Excellent organization and planning skills
  • A hands-on, proactive approach with strong attention to detail
  • The ability to work independently and make decisions confidently
