Role Description
The Workshop Supervisor is a full-time, on-site role based in Bolton, responsible for the day-to-day supervision of workshop operations. This includes:

The Workshop Supervisor will liaise with internal departments and external customers, respond to service requests, and ensure a high level of customer satisfaction. The role also includes:
- Maintaining accurate records
- Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives
- Supporting the implementation of Council policies and procedures within the workshop
Qualifications
- Strong supervisory skills with experience leading workshop or technical teams and coordinating daily workloads.
- Proficiency in maintenance and repair activities, with practical knowledge of tools, equipment, and workshop safety standards.
- Commitment to customer satisfaction, with proven customer service skills and the ability to handle queries and issues professionally.
- Previous experience working in workshops or similar operational environments, with an understanding of workflow and resource management.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across departments and with external partners.
- Ability to interpret and follow health and safety regulations, risk assessments, and relevant statutory requirements.
- Organizational and problem-solving skills, including the ability to prioritize tasks and respond to changing demands.
- Relevant vocational or technical qualification (e.g., NVQ or equivalent) in a mechanical, engineering, or maintenance-related discipline is desirable.
- Experience in local government or public sector environments would be an advantage.
