Carpentry and Joinery Workshop Supervisor
We have an exciting opportunity for a Carpentry and Joinery Workshop Supervisor to join our team at Loughborough College Group, based at Stephenson College.
Join our team in a hands-on workshop role where you’ll support the delivery of high-quality teaching and learning.
Responsibilities
- Ensure the Health and Safety of students in the use of equipment, tools and resources required to develop their skills and knowledge.
- Review, monitor and complete annual risk assessments associated with the workshop environment, including COSHH.
- Organise safe systems for storage of material and equipment and maintain the cleanliness of the workshop.
- Ensure suitable and sufficient materials are available for practical lessons delivered in the workshop and support the department when apprentices are undertaking their end point assessments.
Requirements
- Possess a Level 2 or equivalent in a relevant construction subject area (e.g. carpentry, bricklaying, multi-trade)
- Have recent experience in the relevant industry
- Have knowledge of the sector
- Have excellent time management skills and be able to work to deadlines
