Are you looking for a hands-on role within engineering? Do you come from a mechanical biased / fitter background? If so then you may be perfect for the Workshop Technician for a family run engineering firm we have over in Hadleigh, Suffolk.

This is a permanent position offering an excellent overall package with a negotiable salary on offer, subject to the successful applicant's experience.

Due to the continued growth of the business this role is an urgent requirement to keep up with customer demands. In the long-term plans of the business, they are looking to further expand & are looking for staff who would want to build a long-term career.

As a Workshop Technician you will be expected to have the following:

  • Understanding of basic hydraulic principles
  • Competent knowledge of mechanical systems
  • Able to competently strip down, clean, repair & rebuild assemblies
  • Multi-tasker who can cope with a constantly changing workload
  • Logical thinker who can solve problems with a can-do attitude
  • Computer literate with communication skills
  • Be able to work on their own and as part of a team

The successful candidate must have some form of mechanical experience as well as ideally holding a relevant qualification. Whether it is through education or apprenticeship.

Ideally you will be able to have a working knowledge of engines or hydraulic systems.

This is a full-time role, working Monday - Friday 7:30 - 16:30, (42.5 hours).

Benefits include:

  • Negotiable salary that starts from £30,000+
  • Overtime available (at increased rates)
  • Part of a company profit share scheme - PAID QUARTERLY
  • 31 days annual leave (inc bank)
