Workshop Technician
Role Overview
This varied position combines hands-on maintenance and repairs with machinery preparation, warehouse organisation and occasional customer deliveries.
You will help ensure equipment is ready for customer demonstrations, carry out general repairs and maintenance, and support the safe movement and storage of machinery. At times, you will also speak with customers, helping with equipment queries and practical issues, with support from technical colleagues where needed.
The role would suit someone who is confident using tools, enjoys working with machinery and is happy to help wherever required.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out general maintenance and repairs on professional cleaning machinery and associated equipment
- Identify straightforward faults, replace worn or damaged components and escalate more complex issues to technical colleagues
- Clean, inspect, check and prepare machinery for customer demonstrations, deliveries and use
- Operate forklifts to move machinery and assist with loading and unloading vehicles
- Keep the warehouse and workshop safe, organised and well maintained
- Support stock control, spare parts ordering and the management of tools and consumables
- Deliver machinery to customer premises when required, assisting with unloading and basic handovers
- Speak with customers about equipment queries and help resolve day-to-day issues
- Maintain accurate equipment, stock and maintenance records, using Excel where required
- Support the set-up and ongoing operation of the new facility

Key Requirements
- Previous experience in a practical role involving machinery, maintenance, repairs, workshop activities or equipment preparation
- Confident using hand and power tools, with a practical approach to identifying and resolving problems
- Previous forklift operating experience is essential
- Valid passport and willingness to travel to the company's European headquarters for product training
- Full UK driving licence to support occasional customer deliveries
- Willingness to get involved across maintenance, warehouse duties, deliveries and customer support
- Organised, reliable and able to take ownership of day-to-day tasks
- Comfortable speaking with customers and representing the business professionally
- Experience using Microsoft Excel for stock records, equipment tracking or general administration would be highly beneficial
- Experience with cleaning equipment, equipment hire or industrial machinery would be useful, although product training will be provided

Package
- Salary: £28,000 to £35,000 depending on experience
- Monday to Friday working hours, 7:30am to 4:30pm
- Product training at the company's European headquarters
- Opportunity to support the launch and growth of a new facility
- Ongoing training and development, including potential college-based learning
- Opportunity to develop into a Field Service Engineer or wider operational role over time, depending on performance and business requirements

Coventry, Birmingham, Rugby, Nuneaton, Solihull, Kenilworth, Leamington Spa, Hinckley or surrounding areas.
