The Role

The Mechanical Technician is responsible for the manufacturing, assembly, and service of the company’s products as directed by the senior team.

  • Instructs and delegates to direct reports ensuring that products conform to QA processes and safety is adhered to.
  • Individuals are trained on the appropriate product to deliver our products on time and in full.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

  • Supervision and Training of Trainee and Assistant Technicians
  • Signs off controlled company documentation.
  • Planning workloads and delegating tasks.
  • Carries out all operational activities in a safe and reliable manner.
  • Participate in the movement of materials through the workshop from start to completion.
  • Development of team’s skills and competencies
  • Communication - effectively communicating with others, seeking clarification, and responding to feedback.
  • Organise and keep clean workshop areas.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Completed a recognised apprenticeship or training program in a technical discipline to a minimum of a Mechanical/Engineering NVQ qualification (or equivalent nationally recognised qualification).
  • Recognised proven skills in a mechanical discipline.
  • Knowledge of Quality Assurance and Health and Safety within the work environment.
  • Proven track record of designated discipline in a manufacturing/service environment.
