Overall Purpose of the Job
Are you a hands-on technician looking to develop your career within the oil and gas industry? We are seeking a motivated Workshop/Maintenance Technician to join our Tubular Running Services (TRS) Workshop team.
Working under general supervision, you will be responsible for the maintenance, inspection, repair, and preparation of TRS equipment to company standards, ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with quality and certification requirements.
Key Activities And Accountabilities
- Carry out preventative and predictive maintenance, fault diagnosis, and repair of TRS equipment in line with work plans and company standards
- Inspect, test, and prepare equipment for operational deployment
- Support the rig-up, equipment build, and rig-down activities as required
- Complete inspection records and maintenance documentation, ensuring compliance with company procedures and revision control requirements
- Report incidents, non-conformances, and safety concerns in accordance with company policies and timelines
- Update and return job packs to supervisors upon task completion
- Liaise with internal departments, including Logistics and Stores, to ensure the timely availability and movement of equipment and components
- Participate in daily maintenance and safety meetings, toolbox talks, and operational planning sessions
- Operate a forklift for loading, unloading, and movement of equipment where appropriately qualified
- Maintain high standards of housekeeping to ensure a safe and organised working environment

Job Knowledge And Qualifications
- A relevant technical qualification
- Previous experience working within a workshop environment
- Experience in the oil and gas industry is preferred
- Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to diagnose and repair equipment
- A commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement
- Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team
- Previous experience working with Tubular Running Services (TRS) equipment would be a distinct advantage
- Forklift License / Full, clean UK driving license
