A key aspect of this role is to work hand in hand with the wider workspace team to deliver a resilient and consistent engineering service that supports the wider team goal of delivering an excellent workplace experience to our client’s colleagues and their guests. A key element of this role is establishing and maintaining strong collaborative relationships with landlord teams to ensure seamless, joined-up service delivery that maximises building performance and client satisfaction.

What your day-to-day will look like:

Technology Integrations & Optimisation

  • Actively utilise sophisticated building technologies including BMS, IoT sensors, predictive maintenance platforms, and data analytics tools in all maintenance and operational activities.
  • Apply smart building capabilities for diagnostics, performance monitoring, and proactive issue identification during shift operations.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives by using building data and technology insights to optimise energy efficiency, equipment performance, and occupant comfort.
  • Integrate technology-driven approaches into daily work routines, making smart building utilisation a core part of operational execution.

Team Collaboration & Knowledge Sharing

  • Work collaboratively with other shift technicians to ensure consistent task execution, performance standards, and shared learning across all shifts.
  • Coordinate effectively with support engineers to ensure seamless handovers, information sharing, and consistent application of technology-driven maintenance approaches throughout the operational day.
  • Contribute to a technology-forward culture by sharing knowledge and supporting colleagues in utilising smart building systems.
  • Participate in regular team briefings to understand how technology supports superior maintenance outcomes and collaborative service delivery.

Landlord Liaison & Collaborative Service Delivery

  • Build and maintain positive working relationships with landlord technical teams, building management representatives, and property stakeholders.
  • Coordinate and execute planned maintenance activities, system upgrades, and building modifications with landlord teams to ensure minimal disruption and aligned objectives.
  • Participate in regular liaison meetings with landlords to discuss building performance, maintenance schedules, and opportunities for collaborative improvement.
  • Maintain clear communication channels for sharing critical building information, emergency responses, and system performance data between JLL and landlord teams.
  • Work collaboratively to resolve technical issues that span tenant and landlord responsibilities, ensuring seamless service delivery for occupants.
  • Share smart building data and performance insights with landlord teams to support whole-building optimisation strategies.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
