Pay Range
£40,000 to £46,000
Working Hours/Pattern
Full-time, although we would be happy to consider applicants who are looking to work on a part-time basis. If you would like to explore this further, please discuss this with the talent partner for this role. Please note, our ability to accommodate flexible working arrangements will vary from role to role, dependent on business requirements.

What is the role about?
WorkWell is an integrated work and health support service helping people with disabilities and health conditions to start, stay, and succeed in work. The service provides early intervention support to individuals whose health is affecting their ability to work, helping them to overcome barriers, improve wellbeing, and achieve sustainable employment outcomes.
The WorkWell Manager is responsible for the leadership, performance, and quality of the WorkWell service within their locality. Leading a team of Senior Neighbourhood Work & Health Coaches and Neighbourhood Work & Health Coaches, the postholder will ensure the delivery of high-quality, person-centred support that helps people with disabilities and health conditions remain in work, return to work, or move into sustainable employment.
Working closely with commissioners, healthcare providers, employers, community organizations, and digital delivery partners, the WorkWell Manager will ensure the service operates effectively, meets contractual requirements, and contributes to improved health, wellbeing, and employment outcomes for participants. The role will provide strategic leadership, operational oversight, and continuous improvement support, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and accountability across the service.

Just some of your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
- Provide effective leadership, management, and support to the Senior Neighbourhood Work & Health Coaches and Neighbourhood Work & Health Coaches.
- Conduct regular supervision, performance reviews, and development discussions with team members.
- Identify training and development needs and coordinate appropriate learning opportunities.
- Foster a culture of collaboration, continuous improvement, and shared accountability.
- Monitor service performance against contractual KPIs, quality standards, and participant outcome measures.
- Analyse management information and performance data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
- Support the team to achieve referral, engagement, progression, and employment outcome targets.
- Ensure effective Multi-Disciplinary Team (MDT) processes are established and consistently applied.
- Provide oversight and escalation support for participants with complex needs.
- Promote integrated working between employment, health, and community support services.
- Lead continuous improvement activities and monitor delivery of improvement plans.
- Ensure compliance with safeguarding, data protection, information governance, and health and safety requirements.

To be successful in this role, we are looking for someone with:
- Experience leading teams delivering health, wellbeing, employability, social care, or community support services.
- Experience managing performance, quality, and operational delivery.
- Experience leading and developing people through coaching, supervision, and performance management.
- Experience working with multiple stakeholders and partner organizations.
- Experience managing complex service delivery in a regulated or commissioned environment.
- Experience using performance data and management information to drive improvement.
- Understanding of the relationship between health, disability, and employment.
- A minimum of 2 A-Levels or an equivalent Level 3 Diploma.
- GCSE English Language at a minimum of a Grade B (or equivalent Level 2 qualification). OR achievement of a Level 2 in Literacy Assessment at the interview stage OR International Equivalents.
Desirable Experience:
- Experience managing WorkWell, employability, health coaching, social prescribing, vocational rehabilitation, or wellbeing services.
- Experience working within integrated health and employment programmes.
- Experience working alongside NHS organizations or community health providers.
- Experience managing multidisciplinary teams.
- Experience managing contract delivery against KPIs and outcomes.
- Fluency in community languages relevant to the local area.
Essential Knowledge:
- Understanding of work and health policy and practice.
- Understanding of disability, long-term health conditions, and mental health.
- Knowledge of safeguarding and risk management.
- Knowledge of equality, diversity, and inclusion.
- Understanding of partnership and stakeholder management.
- Understanding of quality assurance and service governance frameworks.
