Studio: Worn Games | (part of Worn Studios)
Project: The Last Copy
Development target: Summer 2027

Worn Games is looking for someone who wants to help build something from the ground up.

The Last Copy will be Worn Games’ first game, but it is not intended to be our last.

We’re currently preparing the foundations of the studio before development begins in Summer 2027, and I’m looking for someone I can work closely with as we build the team, the project and eventually Worn Games itself.

This is not simply a recruitment position.

I’m looking for someone who wants to become part of the founding team of Worn Games.

What You’ll Do

Working directly alongside the founder, you’ll help:

  • Build the recruitment process for The Last Copy
  • Identify talented developers, artists, writers, designers, audio professionals and other specialists
  • Review applications and portfolios
  • Help organise interviews and candidate selection
  • Help establish a professional and respectful team culture
  • Organise team roles, responsibilities and communication
  • Help coordinate recruitment as the project grows
  • Assist with planning studio processes and workflows
  • Give honest feedback and challenge ideas when necessary
  • Help shape how Worn Games operates as a studio
  • Contribute ideas beyond recruitment where your experience allows

You will have a genuine voice in how the studio is built.

Who I’m Looking For

I’m looking for someone who is:

  • Trustworthy
  • Organised
  • Honest and comfortable giving difficult feedback
  • Good with people
  • Comfortable communicating professionally
  • Interested in games and the creative industry
  • Able to recognise potential in people rather than simply looking at job titles
  • Comfortable working in an early-stage environment
  • Interested in building something long-term
  • Someone who wants to contribute, not simply hold a title

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

You do not need to be an experienced recruiter if you have strong people skills, organisation and an understanding of team-building.

Experience in games, recruitment, HR, project management, production, community management or studio operations is welcome.

Compensation & Transparency

I want to be completely transparent about the current position of Worn Games.

Worn Games is an early-stage independent studio, and The Last Copy is our first game.

Development is currently planned to begin in Summer 2027.

At this stage, there is no guaranteed salary, fee, or payment for participating in the project, and applicants should not join the team on the assumption that payment will be guaranteed upon release.

The purpose of building the initial team is to bring together people who genuinely care about games, want to help create something they can be proud of, and want to be part of building Worn Games from the beginning.

Any future compensation, revenue participation, expenses, contracts, employment or other arrangements will only exist where they have been properly agreed and are legally appropriate. No applicant will be promised payment simply because the game is eventually published.

Worn Games will not ask anyone to contribute on the basis of a misleading promise of future earnings.

Any investment made by Worn Studios/Worn Games will be made specifically for the development and legitimate needs of the project, using company resources.

The Last Copy is the beginning of Worn Games, not the end goal. The intention is to establish a studio capable of creating multiple games over time.

We are not pretending to be a large established AAA studio.

We are building this from the ground up.

Any working arrangement, compensation, ownership/IP terms, responsibilities and expectations will be discussed openly and agreed before work begins. There will be no expectation that someone should commit significant professional work based on vague promises.

If your primary reason for applying is guaranteed financial compensation, this opportunity may not be suitable for you.

If you’re interested because you genuinely love games, want to help build something from the ground up, and want to see what a new independent studio can become, we’d like to hear from you.

Transparency comes first.

Why This Role Matters

The Last Copy is the beginning.

The intention is for Worn Games to continue creating games beyond this project.

The person joining me at this stage won’t simply be helping recruit a team for one game.

They’ll have the opportunity to help establish the systems, standards and culture that future Worn Games projects can build upon.

This is a founding-stage opportunity.

How to Apply

Please send:

  1. Your CV or LinkedIn profile
  2. A short introduction about yourself
  3. Any relevant recruitment, games, management, production or team-building experience
  4. Why Worn Games interests you
  5. What you believe makes a good game-development team
  6. What you would change or improve about the recruitment process if you were building it from scratch

Most importantly:

Tell me what you think you could bring to Worn Games that I can’t build alone.

Applications can be sent via LinkedIn message initially.
