- Lead worship at the 10.45am Contemporary service at Church St, The Six at Brighton Rd, and key Minster services and events, preparing well while remaining responsive to the Spirit.
- Recruit, pastor, mentor, train and release worship leaders, vocalists and musicians, developing a healthy team culture and a pathway for emerging leaders.
- Oversee repertoire, arrangements, rotas, rehearsals and service preparation in collaboration with clergy, service leaders and other ministries.
- Recruit and develop AV and production volunteers, strengthening technical skills, communication, standards and reliable rotas.
- Teach and model a biblical theology and practice of worship, and contribute to staff prayer, planning, outreach and schools work where appropriate.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Who we are looking for
A practising Christian with a vibrant faith and a life shaped by Jesus, comfortable serving in an Anglican church under CPAS patronage whose worship is rooted in Scripture, centred on Jesus and expectant of the presence and gifts of the Holy Spirit.
- An experienced worship leader, confident vocalist and capable instrumentalist, able to lead both spiritually and musically and direct a contemporary band.
- A proven developer of people who can recruit volunteers, nurture gifts, build trust and release new leaders rather than carrying the ministry alone.
- Theologically grounded, prayerful, pastorally wise, collaborative and organised. Experience in schools is desirable but not essential; AV or production experience is helpful.
