Job Title: Wraparound Care Assistant - Teaching Assistant Level 2

Salary: £7591.53 - £7712.00 per annum

Hours: Monday to Friday, 3.00pm to 5:30pm, Term time only

Fixed Term Contract until July 2026 initially

St. Kenelm’s is a small village school in a beautiful rural setting. We are looking for a caring, enthusiastic, organised and dedicated Teaching Assistant to join our hard-working, friendly Wraparound Care Team.

You will be responsible for assisting the Wraparound Care Lead with the day-to-day running of the service, providing engaging activities, and ensuring high standards of safeguarding and wellbeing for all children.

We are looking for a Teaching Assistant who:

  • can effectively run activities for children in the Nursery and Primary age-range
  • will adhere to policy and procedures
  • will support children with selecting/eating their meals and clearing away afterwards
  • has experience of working within the Primary age range (experience of working with children with additional needs would be advantageous)
  • understands the principles of children’s development in the Early Years, Key Stages 1 and 2
  • has high expectations in terms of children’s behaviour and engagement with activities
  • is willing to contribute positively to the life of the school and its community
  • can work effectively as a team member
  • NVQ Level 2 qualified or equivalent (this is a requirement of the role)
  • is positive, flexible and reliable
