- Support children during breakfast clubs, after-school clubs and holiday provision
- Create engaging play opportunities indoors and outdoors
- Support children's wellbeing, development and independence through play
- Facilitate creative, imaginative, physical and social play experiences
- Support physically active play and outdoor learning opportunities
- Assist with the setup and maintenance of play environments
- Support children with differing needs and abilities
- Promote inclusion, participation and positive relationships
- Carry out health and safety checks and risk assessments
- Support snack preparation and healthy eating routines
- Maintain records such as accident forms and attendance registers
- Support safe collection and handover procedures
- Apply safeguarding procedures and report concerns appropriately
- Work alongside colleagues, families and other professionals to support children's needs
