Since its founding in 2013, inspired by the American summer camp experience, Camp Glide has expanded, operating in Reigate, Merstham, Banstead, Horley, Crawley and London areas. Role Description
The Wraparound Childcare Setting Manager is based in Horley, Surrey. The manager is responsible for leading the daily operations of a wraparound childcare setting. The manager oversees session planning and delivery, ensuring activities are safe, engaging, and age-appropriate, with particular attention to early years children. This role includes supervising and supporting staff development and fostering a positive, inclusive environment that reflects Camp Glide’s values. The manager must ensure compliance with Ofsted, EYFS and safeguarding requirements, maintains accurate records, and liaises with schools, families, and external partners to provide clear communication and continuity of care. Day-to-day responsibilities also involve managing resources, monitoring children’s wellbeing, addressing concerns promptly, and contributing to continuous improvement of the provision. You will be supported in this role by the Camp Glide central office team and through training opportunities, aiding continued professional development.

Qualifications
- Early Years/Childcare qualification (or equivalent) at Level 3 or above, with strong knowledge of childcare standards and best practice.
- Experience managing or supervising childcare or education settings.
- Demonstrated ability to design and deliver engaging, age-appropriate activities for early years and primary-aged children.
- Strong understanding of safeguarding, health and safety, and Ofsted requirements, with a commitment to child welfare.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for working with children, families, schools, and colleagues.
- Organisational and administrative skills, including record-keeping and basic IT proficiency.
- Ability to work on-site in Horley for Breakfast club (7:20am-8:45am) and Afterschool club (3pm-6pm).
- Paediatric First Aid training (or willingness to obtain).

Position Details
- This position can be term-time, with holiday club work available as overtime or a year-round contract.
- We would also consider a holiday club only position, perfect for nursery and school staff in term-time only settings.
- Flexible term time hours (20 to 25 per week) Including up to 3 hours of management time out of setting
- Flexible holiday club hours (10-50 per week) (Worked as overtime if on a term-time contract)
