About Suitz
Suitz is an independent publication exploring the intersection of British politics and culture. We're interested in the stories, places and perspectives that often get overlooked by traditional media.
We're building a biannual, highly visual print magazine, with our first edition, SS27, exploring the theme of British Identity. Alongside this, we're publishing digital articles and creative projects on our website, with selected contributions featuring in print.
About the Role
We're looking for writers, photographers, journalists, students and creatives interested in contributing to Suitz.
There isn't a fixed brief. We want people to explore subjects they're genuinely interested in and bring their own perspectives to the publication.
Contributions could include:
- Politics through pop culture: Exploring what British music, fashion, film and cultural figures reveal about class, gender, identity and politics.
- Documenting a changing Britain: Photography, interviews and visual projects capturing communities, neighbourhoods and cultural change.
- Cultural deep dives: Investigating British subcultures, emerging trends, youth movements and their political significance.
- Hyper-local stories: Exploring the people, places and institutions that shape everyday life across Britain.
- Visual editorials: Fashion photography, illustration, graphic design and experimental visual storytelling.

Who we're looking for
You don't need professional experience, a journalism degree or an established portfolio. We're interested in original ideas, curiosity and people with something to say.
Whether you're a university student looking to publish your first article, an emerging photographer building your portfolio or an experienced creative interested in independent publishing, we'd love to hear from you.
Contributors will have creative freedom over their projects, working with our editorial team to develop ideas for digital publication and potential inclusion in SS27.
