WTG Handover Client Representative
Working Location
Gentofte, Copenhagen, Denmark
Contract Type
Residential, Monday to Friday, 7.5 hours per day
Duration: 1st September 2026 - 31st December 2027 (Possibility of Extension)
Role Objective / Success Criteria / KPI
Act as the internal Client Representative for Operations during the handover of wind turbine assets from Construction to Operations. Represent the Operations perspective throughout the handover process, ensuring operational risks, assumptions, outstanding works, integrity concerns, and documentation gaps are identified, challenged, and understood before asset transfer. Improve handover quality and reduce operational surprises after transfer, focusing on Siemens Gamesa D11 and D14 wind turbine platforms (WTG scope only).
Key Responsibilities
- Represent Operations in Construction-to-Operations handover activities and working groups.
- Review and challenge project assumptions and Assumption Books from an Operations perspective.
- Review and provide input to Integrity Issue Cases, ensuring operational impacts are understood and addressed.
- Review snags, punch lists, incomplete works, and outstanding defects, with particular focus on operational consequences and risk exposure.
- Identify and assess key operational, technical, and reliability risks that may affect Operations after handover.
- Support the review of handover documentation and identify documentation gaps or missing deliverables.
- Participate in project meetings, technical workshops, and review sessions as the Operations representative.
- Provide technical support and recommendations relating to WTG handover readiness.
Potential Secondary Responsibilities
- Support supplier qualification activities relating to main component refurbishment and repair suppliers.
- Support main component upgrade projects.
- Contribute to general risk management activities within Operations.
- Support other technical project management and asset management initiatives, depending on project priorities.

Deliverables
- Clear visibility for Operations of the operational, technical, and reliability risks associated with asset transfer.
- Reviewed and challenged assumptions and dependencies, including Operations input to relevant Assumption Books.
- Operations input to Integrity Issue Cases, with operational impacts and required actions clearly understood.
- A structured assessment of snags, punch-list items, incomplete works, and outstanding defects, including their operational consequences and risk exposure.
- Identification of handover-documentation gaps and missing technical deliverables.
- Technical recommendations supporting informed assessment of WTG handover readiness.
Project Documents
- Project Assumption Books and associated assumption or dependency logs.
- Integrity Issue Cases and supporting technical assessments.
- Snag lists, punch lists, incomplete-work registers, and outstanding-defect records.
- WTG handover packs, technical records, and documentation-gap trackers.
- Risk registers, action logs, meeting outputs, and handover-readiness review records.
- Supplier qualification and main component upgrade documentation, where applicable.
Decision Authority / Responsibility
- Represent Operations and customer interests within handover working groups, project meetings, workshops, and technical reviews.
- Challenge assumptions, technical positions, and risk assessments constructively from an Operations perspective.
- Provide technical recommendations and escalate unresolved operational, integrity, reliability, defect, or documentation concerns to the appropriate stakeholders.
- Support informed asset-transfer decisions by ensuring material risks, dependencies, and outstanding actions are visible and understood.

Preferred Experience
- A proven background as a Commissioning Engineer or Commissioning Manager, Technical Project Manager within wind energy, experience in Operations Readiness, Asset Management or Construction-to-Operations handover role.
- Strong technical understanding of wind turbine systems.
- Experience working across multiple stakeholders and organisations.
- Experience with Siemens Gamesa D11 and/or D14 turbines is an advantage but not required.

- Excellent communication and stakeholder management capabilities.
Equipment and IT Requirements
- The consultant must provide their own PC and/or iPhone.
- Privately owned equipment used for the assignment, including PCs, mobile phones, and iPads, must be kept up to date with the latest operating system releases.
- The consultant must allow installation of mandatory security and device management software on any iPhone or iPad used for assignment work.
- The consultant must grant approval for removal of applications, data, and access from privately owned equipment in case of a security or GDPR-related risk, loss/theft, or contract ending.
- On leaving the assignment, the consultant must contact the IT Service Desk to ensure all proprietary applications and data are removed from personal equipment.
- The IT Service Desk supports privately owned equipment only in relation to the mandatory security and management software.
