Xin Tian Di – Receptionist (Chinese-Speaking)
As a Restaurant Receptionist at Xin Tian Di, you will be one of the first points of contact for our guests, providing a warm welcome and helping create a seamless dining experience from arrival to departure.
Your ability to communicate in Chinese and English will help us provide personalized service to our Chinese-speaking guests while supporting reservations and the daily operation of the restaurant.
Your day to day
- Warmly welcome and greet guests upon arrival at the restaurant.
- Manage restaurant reservations, table assignments, waiting lists, and guest seating efficiently.
- Assist guests with dining inquiries, restaurant information, promotions, and special requests.
- Communicate effectively with Chinese-speaking guests and assist with translation when required.
- Answer telephone calls and respond to restaurant reservation inquiries professionally.
- Maintain accurate guest reservation details and communicate special requirements to the restaurant team.
- Coordinate closely with restaurant supervisors and service colleagues to ensure smooth seating and table availability.
- Recognize regular guests and provide personalized service whenever possible.
- Assist with guest feedback and concerns and escalate matters to the appropriate leader when necessary.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and professional reception area.
- Support restaurant promotions, special events, and other Food & Beverage activities.
- Deliver service in line with IHG brand standards and our commitment to creating memorable guest experiences.

What we need from you

- College-level education or a qualification in Hospitality Management, Tourism, Food & Beverage, or a related field is preferred.
- Previous experience as a restaurant receptionist, hostess, guest service colleague, or similar hospitality role is an advantage.
- Ability to communicate effectively in Chinese (Mandarin) and English; Filipino language skills are an advantage.
- Warm, confident, and professional communication and interpersonal skills.
- A friendly and welcoming personality with a genuine passion for guest service.
- Good organizational skills and the ability to manage reservations and guest requests in a busy restaurant environment.
- Professional appearance and a positive, service-oriented attitude.
- Ability to remain calm and courteous when handling guest concerns or busy periods.
- Basic computer skills and familiarity with restaurant reservation systems are an advantage.
- Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, public holidays, and evenings as required by restaurant operations.
