Job Description

The role

We are looking for a Y6 Teacher starting as soon as possible, at Rathfern Primary School.

This is a perfect opportunity for a reflective practitioner, who wants to develop a more evidence-informed pedagogy.

We have pioneered a model of learning to ensure that a deep level of engagement and enjoyment is experienced by all learners.

We are looking to appoint a highly committed, passionate, and diligent class teacher with exemplary classroom practice, to join our learning community for 2026/27 academic year. ECTs are welcome to apply.

  • Are passionate and curious about finding out how children learn best and ensuring they succeed
  • Are imaginative, positive, and persistent about all children learning
  • Have the ability to inspire pupils and are committed to engaging parents and carers
  • Are diligent, creative, have a good sense of fun, and are aspirational for our community and yourself
  • Are a reflective learner teacher, interested in research-informed pedagogy

Rathfern Primary School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. Our recruitment processes follow the guidance in the Department for Children, Schools and Families document Safeguarding Children and Safer Recruitment in Education. All staff will be required to undertake a disclosure from the Disclosure and Barring Service, and you will need to provide two employer references. A satisfactory DBS must be received before employees can start work in our school.
