PERI is currently seeking a Yard Associate to join our team.
The primary role of the Yard Associate is to perform various manual tasks to support operations within the PERI stockyard. This involves working in different departments within the stockyard and completing assigned tasks based on current needs. Leveraging PERI's resources, the Yard Associate, along with the team, works towards maintaining a Safety-First Culture.

What You'll Do On a Typical Day
- Perform and complete all assigned tasks as assigned by the department and within the designed timeframe.
- Load and unload materials, tools, and equipment as needed.
- Assist with conducting inventory counting to ensure accuracy.
- Operate powered industrial equipment, including forklifts, safely and efficiently.
- Assist with performing yard maintenance and clean-up tasks.
- Clean, count, and move equipment as assigned by the department.
- Maintain a safe and clean work environment by following safety and housekeeping processes and procedures.
- Assist in coaching and mentoring new hires during the onboarding process.
- Accurately and efficiently input data using handheld technology or similar devices to track and maintain accurate order counts and shipment data.
- Assist craft workers as required.
What You'll Need To Be Successful
- Demonstrates high emotional intelligence and cultivates strong relationships with internal teams.
- Self-motivated, capable of working independently and collaboratively with team members.
- Strong attention to detail, organizational, time management, multitasking, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient in basic math skills.
- Competent in reading a tape measure.
- Experienced in utilizing small hand and power tools.
- Capability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changes.
- Willingness to learn through on-the-job training as needed.
- Ability to communicate verbally and hear effectively.
- Visual acuity for seeing objects clearly, including close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust and focus.
- Capability to pull, push, bend, and lift objects weighing up to 50 lbs. while maintaining balance.
- Ability to frequently stand, walk, kneel, and crouch.
- Willingness and ability to work outside in all weather conditions for 8 hours per day.
