We conduct hundreds of live auctions each year around the world. It takes a hardworking team of energetic people in a wide variety of full-time and part-time roles to conduct a successful multi-million dollar auction – from equipment inspectors, yard managers and operators to administrative staff and customer service representatives.
Job Description
As an FLT Operative, you will be responsible for:
- Loading and unloading lorries
- Moving vehicles between locations
- Completing inspection reports by recording the damage to vehicles as they arrive at the site
- Providing excellent customer service and support to both clients and suppliers and deal with any issues or concerns in an effective manner
- Cleaning vehicles and the site
- Adhere to Health & Safety and company guidelines, and to maintain a safe and efficient working environment
- Imaging vehicles using video cameras recording clear and concise images and sound
- Grade parts and image using company guidelines
Responsibilities
Yard Duties
- Day-to-day yard duties with a focus on vehicle movement and organisation ensuring vehicles are processed along company pathway for deliveries, collections, marketing, and storage
- Processing of logbooks, doc pack and keys that are either filed safely or disposed of correctly following GDPR rules
- Supporting GDPR & Salvage Personal Belongings Team with GDPR compliance & contractual SLA’s
- Ensuring quality control every step of the way with no damage to vehicles or parts
- Liaising with customers or our drivers loading and offloading vehicles
- Meet and greet customers coming to site, organise them for loading and help with their outstanding payments ensuring they all enter site appropriately dressed with the correct PPE etc.
- Maintain and take ownership of general housekeeping within your selected functional and customer facing area and manage to a high standard to create a safe and streamline environment
- Supporting with processing stock inventory
- Destickering (taking stickers off vehicles) in line with client agreements and compliance

Site Operations and Administration
- Checking and processing customer payments
- Processing, chasing and filing invoices
- Liaise with finance team regards buyer payments
- Booking in vehicles for collection
- Sorting post and responding to letters and emails
- Processing appropriate paperwork for vehicles to be collected or delivered
- Ensuring all the correct waste compliance paperwork is completed for waste vehicles
- General administration as required
Qualifications
To be successful in this role, suitable candidates must have a full driving license, relevant forklift truck certificate and experience of working outside in all weathers, and the ability to accurately record vehicle damage in a clear and concise manner.
We are looking for someone who can work well as part of a team, with excellent communication skills both written and verbal, and a keen eye for detail. Basic IT skills are also required. Previous experience working in a salvage site and knowledge and/or an interest in motor vehicles would be desirable but not essential.
