🐣 YARD KEY OPERATIVE - Carn Hatchery
Hours of work: Monday to Thursday 06:00/08:00 - 14:30/16:30 & Friday 06:00/08:00 - 13:30/15:30
Are you ready to take the next step in your career? We're looking for a proactive and reliable Key Operative to support the smooth running of our Hatchery. This is a hands-on role with leadership responsibilities, offering variety across key areas including supervision, egg handling, chick despatch, and quality control.
The Key Operative works as a member of a team of hatchery operatives, reporting to the management team. Effective liaison, team working and interaction with other operatives and supervisory staff is essential.

- Must be literate and numerate.

- Good manual dexterity is essential.

- Basic Computer literacy is beneficial.
- Previous hatchery experience is desirable.
- Previous supervisory/people management experience is desirable.

- The ability to work on own initiative is essential.
- The ability to organise and prioritise work is essential.
- Ability to solve problems essential.
- Mechanical aptitude essential.
- Positive attitude to work and others is essential.
- Able to undertake responsibility essential.
- Evidence of leadership qualities essential.
