Yard Operative

Shropham, Attleborough, UK

Full Time

We are currently seeking an additional Yard Operative for our Shropham depot.

The Main Duties Will Be:

  • Unloading and loading lorries.
  • Assisting with machinery for hire.
  • Housekeeping of the depot.
  • Refuelling and cleaning of generators and equipment.
  • Checking equipment being returned from hire.
  • Completion of paperwork.
  • Delivery of equipment to customer sites as required.
  • Organising the warehouse and stock.

You will need to be physically fit as this role involves heavy lifting and is very hands on.

The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, have a positive attitude. Ideally already have a valid fork-lift licence but in-house training will be provided for the right candidate.

This role would be suited to someone with mechanical/electrical interests.

Skills Required

  • Good time management, ability to organise and prioritise work under pressure.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Comfortable working on own initiative.
  • Full Driving Licence.
  • Forklift experience.

Hours of work are typically Mon- Fri 08.00-17.30, however flexibility to suit the demands of the business is required.
