Dunbia West Devon are actively seeking applications from individuals keen to take up a career within one of Europe’s leading food processing companies. This is an exciting opportunity to join a well-established team, who have a desire to produce better food naturally.

We’re looking for a reliable, hands-on Yard Operative who takes pride in keeping outdoor spaces clean, safe and well-maintained. If you enjoy working outdoors and like a role where no two days feel the same, this could be a great fit.

Responsibilities

  • Support other team members within the department
  • Be responsible for keeping the yard tidy and take deliveries to the relevant department
  • Some associated duties in other departments when required
  • Ensure cleanliness and promote and maintain Health, Safety and Hygiene standards
  • Remove crates/pallets from outside shop and bring to the yard
  • Operate a forklift to empty bins into skips, load and unload lorries
  • Store and supply production with clean bins, trays and pallets
  • Remove bins and pallets of crates and packaging/ingredients from incoming lorries
  • Maintain the yard area and ensure it is kept clean and tidy
  • Wash plastic pallets / bring to cold store when required
  • Sort out stacks of blue and white pallets and sort
  • Make sure crate store is full of crates for production next day
  • Ensuring external doors are kept closed at all times when not in use
  • Maintain Health, Safety and Hygiene standards in accordance with Company rules and regulations

  • Someone dependable with a strong work ethic
  • Comfortable working outdoors in all weather
  • Able to follow health and safety procedures
  • A Current Forklift license is desired, although not essential as training will be provided
  • Demonstrate the ability to work on your own initiative whilst working as part of a team striving to achieve high levels of customer service
  • Good communication skills are essential

Shift

  • Monday to Friday 6am to 2pm

Hourly rate

  • £12.71
