Altrad are currently looking for an experienced Yard Operative to join the team.

The successful candidate will provide support across transportation, logistics, scaffold materials and yard operations, ensuring that customer and company deliverables are met while maintaining equipment in accordance with company standards, procedures and manufacturers' guidelines.

Key Deliverables

  • Assist in the co-ordination of all transportation and logistics.
  • Assist in the accurate manifesting and returns of all scaffold materials.
  • Scaffold Maintenance within yard.
  • Responsible for ensuring that both customer and company deliverables are met.
  • Equipment maintenance carried out in accordance with company standards/procedures and manufacturers guidelines.
  • Maintain a clean, tidy and organised yard, ensuring materials are stored safely and efficiently.
  • Assist with the loading and unloading of vehicles, deliveries and collections.
  • Inspect scaffold materials and equipment for damage, defects or missing components and report any issues.
  • Support stock control activities, including checking quantities and reporting shortages or discrepancies.

  • Experience in a similar yard operative or logistics role is desirable.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Flexible approach to meet the demands of the offshore and onshore industry.
  • Excellent aptitude towards Health & Safety.
  • Ability to drive a Forklift is desirable.
  • Previous experience working within a yard, warehouse, logistics or industrial environment is desirable.
  • Ability to safely load, unload, move and store materials and equipment.
  • Good attention to detail, particularly when checking materials, equipment and manifests.
