Our specialist services are used throughout the UK construction industry, as well as several household brands, producing anything from baked beans to whisky. About The Role
We are looking for a Yard Operative to join our team at Monmouth. In this role you will be responsible for preparing equipment and orders for dispatch, unloading and loading goods and keeping the yard secure, clean, tidy and free from hazards. You will also assist other operations departments where required within level of competency.

Responsibilities Will Include

Preparation of units for hire/sales and on their return including;
- removal and reinstalling 10kg PVC plates
- digging out of soil/silt
- pressure washing
- installing pipe fittings
- replacement of plates and fittings to make unit ready for reuse.

Maintaining The Yard And Storage Areas Including
- Wash bay
- Stacking units
- Keeping them clean, tidy and free from hazards
- Keeping them secure by keeping the main gate and warehouse doors closed when not in use and locking up at the end of the day

Loading and unloading delivery vehicles by hand or by operating a forklift (subject to forklift qualifications) and moving stock to storage areas

Provide support to other operations teams where required (within level of competency and subject to any necessary training) including:
- Workshop and stores
- Delivery of equipment to site driving Siltbuster vehicles (subject to a suitable driving licence)
- Assisting Field engineers with the installation of equipment on site
- Act as Banksman when required to do so

Ensuring all tools and equipment used within the department are kept in good working order

Be proactive in communicating and liaising daily with the department supervisor to ensure the smooth running of the department
