Job Description
Location: Russell Gardens, Wickford

We are looking for a dedicated Yard Operative/Handyperson to join our thriving depot in Wickford. As a vital member of our depot team, you will be instrumental in the maintenance, repair, and preparation of our high-quality modular buildings and site accommodation units. Your expertise will ensure our fleet is always in prime condition, ready to meet the diverse needs of our clients. About The Role
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintenance and Upkeep: Clean, paint, and perform general maintenance on cabins and buildings as directed.
- Servicing: Service mobile welfare units to ensure they’re in top condition.
- Repairs: Conduct site visits to carry out necessary repairs promptly.
- Furniture Management: Check and store furniture returned to the yard, ensuring it’s properly removed from cabins and placed back in storage.
- Forklift Maintenance: Keep the forklift truck in excellent working order.
- Efficiency: Minimise material wastage and assist with the safe loading and unloading of cabins, buildings, and materials.
- Housekeeping: Maintain a clean and organised yard and workshop at all times.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to current health and safety legislation to ensure a safe working environment.
Skills And Experience
- Technical Expertise: Experience in plumbing, joinery, or electrical work is highly beneficial.
- Multitasking: Ability to manage and prioritise a busy workload effectively.

Required Criteria
- Experience of plumbing, joinery, or electrical (would suit a handyperson)
- Able to multitask and prioritise busy workload
Desired Criteria
- Experience in cabin fitting is a distinct advantage
