Overall Purpose of the Job
Based at our Coretrax facility in Portlethen, Aberdeen you will be responsible for the movement of equipment and materials in or out of the yard/workshop area. Ensure that all activities within yard area e.g. lifting and movement of equipment are carried out are per company procedures. Ensure the safety of all personnel including visitors to yard area.
Key Activities & Accountabilities
- Carry out the movement of equipment as directed by Yard/Base Foreman in conjunction with Operations department in a safe manner
- Ensure that all recording of equipment movements and required documentation is actioned to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures in a timely manner
- Carry out maintenance, inspection of equipment as instructed, following procedures and appropriate documentation, up to the required company quality standards
- Assist Yard/Base Foreman in daily direction of subordinates allocated to working within yard area to ensure tasks are completed in a safe manner
- Organise and oversee the movement of equipment by crane or forklift to ensure it is carried out in line with company procedures and in a safe manner
- Actively participate in daily toolbox talks to discuss safety, maintenance status/tasks, mobilisation/demobilisation updates etc.,
- Carry out daily housekeeping of yard areas, forklifts to ensure a clean & safe working environment
- Ensure the daily housekeeping of work area is undertaken to ensure a safe working environment

Job Knowledge & Qualifications
- Previous working experience in a similar role
- Proficient PC skills and have an ability to use Microsoft Office applications (i.e. Excel, Word, Outlook & Teams)
- Hold appropriate certificates for using and operating of lifting equipment – e.g. fork lift licence, banksman slinger
- Must have experience in conducting lifting operations, i.e. Appointed person, LOLER focal point.
- Written and verbal communication skills, and work effectively with others
- Full, clean UK driving licence is essential
