Scott Parnell Ltd is a builders merchant based in Witham, we sell groundwork's and civil engineering products to many sectors across the industry. We are looking for someone to join the team.
The Role
The role is for a yard person and the right candidate will be working within a busy team of five yard staff.
Working Hours
- Monday to Friday 7am to 5pm, 1 hour lunch break

Responsibilities
A typical working day includes:
- Daily fork lift truck safety checks
- Unloading suppliers' vehicles, checking goods are present and correct, completing delivery note paperwork then putting away in the correct location.
- Picking and packing materials ready for onward delivery on our own lorries.
- Loading vehicles
- Daily stock taking
- Serving customers who are collecting from our trade counter
- Following all of our on site health and safety working practices
- House keeping to ensure the site is clean and tidy at all times
- Recording any breakages to ensure our stock levels are always accurate.

Qualifications
We operate JCB Telehandlers, so experience with this style of Fork lift Truck would be an excellent advantage, but as a minimum you would need to have an in-date counterbalance licence.
Experience working with Civils materials, either in a merchant or on site.
