The primary responsibility of the Yard Person is to be responsible for the safe efficient and smooth running of the yard operation.
Yardperson Duties And Responsibilities
- Ensuring the yard and warehouse is always swept and clean
- Wash area is regularly pressure cleaned and free from mud deposits
- Helping load and unload vehicles for both colleagues, customers, and suppliers
- Support of trade counter staff in ferrying on and off hires to and from workshop and yard
- Safe storage of spares, Hire and Sales Stock
- Health & Safety
- Must be fit and active as you will be loading and unloading machinery from the van
- To perform a walk around every evening ensuring all keys are removed from plant and any small items of equipment are removed from the yard and secured inside the depot

Other Duties
- Non – Mechanical service inspections of Ladders, Steps, staging’s, Tower Components, Accrows, Bandstands, Chapter 8 Barriers, Site Fencing, Block Grabs, Plant Attachments etc.
Requirements
- Ideally possess Counterbalance forklift license
- Knowledge of tool and plant is an advantage
- Friendly and professional manner
- Ability to take instruction from senior staff and lead by example
- High standards of Customer Service

5 day weeks, working hours: Monday to Friday 07:00am to 17:00pm
