Yard Person
Location: Immingham
Contract: Full-time, Permanent
Do you enjoy hands-on work, being outdoors, and taking pride in keeping things organised? We're looking for a proactive Yard Person to join our team in Immingham. You'll play a key role in ensuring our machines, equipment and yard facilities are maintained to a high standard, helping support the smooth operation of our business and delivering an excellent experience for our customers.
What You'll Be Doing
- Preparing and valeting machines to a high standard ready for customer delivery.
- Booking machines into the depot, carrying out visual inspections and allocating storage locations.
- Managing yard space efficiently and ensuring equipment is stored safely and effectively.
- Maintaining a clean, organised and safe working environment across the yard.
- Loading and unloading machinery, working closely with transport providers to meet delivery schedules.
- Supporting courier movements and maintaining accurate records of all deliveries and collections.
About You
To be successful in this role, you'll ideally have:
- Experience working in a yard, warehouse, transport, logistics or outdoor operational environment.
- An understanding of construction equipment, heavy machinery or similar plant equipment.
- Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail.
- The ability to work independently while being a reliable team player.
- Good communication skills and a proactive approach to work.
- A full UK driving licence and/or forklift licence would be advantageous.
