SUMMARY OF THE ROLE
Yard Supervisor for Heavylift and Transport Projects
Excellent salary and benefits package
Based at the Mammoet facility in Thornaby, Teesside with occasional travel
Do you enjoy getting hands-on with heavy equipment? Keeping our yards tidy and organized is critical to maintaining our specialist fleet. As a yard employee you will be responsible for making sure this happens to a high standard.
Reporting into the Yard Manager, this is a full-time permanent role with regular travel required across the UK to various Mammoet locations and project sites.
We’re looking for staff who want to build a long-term career with Mammoet. We invest heavily in training and development, giving our people the opportunity to expand their skills, qualifications and experience across our specialist lifting operations.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING
- Prepare auxiliary equipment to be sent to project sites
- Maintenance / housekeeping of the yard
- Clean and maintain jacking equipment
- Deliver and pick-up third-party equipment
- Load and offload trucks by the use of cranes and forklifts.
- Prepare lifting equipment for crane hire
- Assemble lifting beams
- Record all maintenance logs accurately (manual and electronic)
- Follow all standard operation procedures in line with health and safety standards
- Planning of all auxiliary equipment located in Teesside yard
- Liaise with our colleagues in the Hixon, Staffordshire depot to ensure all auxiliary equipment is captured
WHAT YOU’LL NEED
- Relevant operating tickets including forklift, MEWP, safety passport, telehandler
- Knowledge of safe forklift operating procedures
- Proven experience of executing basic rigging skills for heavy lift operations would be beneficial
- Working at height training
- Valid UK driving license
- Proficient ICT
- SAP S4 knowledge would be advantageous
