Salary: £30,568
Are you looking for a stable, hands-on role with a supportive team? Our small, friendly Kings Langley branch is looking for a reliable Yard & Warehouse Operative with FLT licence to join us.
While we offer comprehensive training on our products and systems, you will need a valid forklift licence or solid forklift experience to hit the ground running.
Working Hours
- Monday to Thursday: 7:00am – 4:30pm
- Friday: 7:00am – 4:00pm
- Saturday: 7:30am – 10:30am

What We Are Looking For
Licences: A forklift truck licence.
Experience: Experience working in a yard and/or warehouse environment with solid practical forklift experience.
Skills: Strong multi-tasking skills and the ability to stay calm under pressure.
Basics: Good confidence with practical maths and basic literacy for stock checking.
Attitude: A reliable team player with great communication skills.
The Role at a Glance
Your time will be split between hitting the road and managing our busy yard. Key duties include:
- Forklift Operations: Safely operating forklift trucks to move stock.
- Customer Service: Welcoming and assisting trade and retail customers.
- Stock Logistics: Efficiently loading, unloading, picking, and packing orders.
- Yard Upkeep: Keeping the warehouse clean, tidy, and organised.

Key Responsibilities
- Customer Care: Serve customers promptly, ensuring they get the exact materials they need.
- Inbound Stock: Receive, check, and log incoming deliveries, immediately reporting any missing or damaged items.
- Stock Management: Ensure stock is clearly labelled and alert the Branch Manager when items run low.
- Safety First: Maintain forklifts correctly and handle all stock in strict line with Health & Safety guidelines.
- Teamwork: Work closely with colleagues to keep daily branch operations running smoothly.
