About the role

  • Qualified Teacher status
  • Evidence of continuous professional development

Experience

  • Able to demonstrate outstanding teaching and excellent progress for all children of all abilities
  • Evidence of setting, implementing and evaluating action plans
  • Proven ability to manage behaviour both within class and throughout the school.
  • Experience of teaching in Key Stage One/EYFS (desirable)

Knowledge & Understanding

  • Knowledge and understanding of the breadth of subjects across the National Curriculum
  • Confident use of ICT communication skills
  • Demonstrable knowledge of assessment techniques to maximise pupil outcomes for all abilities
  • Knowledge and understanding of data analysis and the ability to use data to set targets for individual pupil progress
  • Confident in meeting the learning needs of a wide range of abilities, including children with SEND
  • Up to date knowledge & understanding of the current national education agenda
  • Understanding of relevant equal opportunities, health and safety and safeguarding guidance and legislations, and with commitment to keeping up to date with changes in legislation affecting schools.
  • Knowledge of the regulations around safeguarding and how to address any issues that might arise
  • Knowledge of good practice guidelines to form and maintain appropriate relationships and personal boundaries with children and young people
  • Understanding of how children & adults learn and effectively apply their learning
