Part-time (0.6) | Maternity cover
Transparency Education is seeking an experienced KS1 Teacher to join a welcoming primary school, teaching a Year 2 class on a part-time maternity cover basis.
This is a school where children sit at the heart of a thriving, diverse, and inclusive community. Staff take pride in their pupils every day, and the school’s approach goes beyond academic progress: it nurtures, challenges, and develops the whole child, helping each pupil become ready and resilient for their next steps in learning and life.
The school describes itself as a magical place to learn and work. It is looking for a teacher who will bring care, commitment, and enthusiasm to that community.
The role
You will provide engaging, well-organized teaching that supports children through an important year in their primary education. Working closely with colleagues, you will help maintain continuity during maternity leave and create a classroom where every child feels included, supported, and challenged.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
