Year 2 Teacher – Near Ashington
Full-Time | Short-Term Position | Potential to Continue | Immediate Start
Are you a qualified Primary Teacher looking for a full-time Year 2 teaching position near Ashington?
Ripple Education is currently recruiting a passionate and committed Year 2 Teacher for a primary school in the Ashington area. This is a full-time position with an immediate start, initially on a short-term basis, with the potential for the placement to continue.
The school is looking for a teacher who can provide consistency for the class, build strong relationships with the children and quickly become a positive part of the wider school team.

The opportunity
You’ll take responsibility for a Year 2 class, providing high-quality teaching and creating a positive and supportive classroom environment where children can learn, develop and thrive.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Planning and delivering engaging and inclusive Year 2 lessons
- Creating a positive, safe and well-managed classroom environment
- Adapting teaching to meet the individual needs of pupils
- Assessing pupils’ learning and using this to inform teaching
- Marking pupils’ work in line with the school’s marking policy
- Building positive and consistent relationships with children
- Working closely with teaching assistants and the wider school team
- Following the school’s curriculum, policies and procedures
- Following school and Ripple Education safeguarding procedures at all times

What we’re looking for
You’ll ideally have:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Experience teaching within a primary school
- A good understanding of the Key Stage 1 curriculum
- High expectations for all pupils
- Strong classroom management skills
- Confidence with planning, assessment and adapting learning
- A thorough understanding of safeguarding
- The ability to build positive relationships with pupils, colleagues and families
- A committed, proactive and enthusiastic approach
- Availability to work full-time

Salary: 140 - 223.62 GBP Per day
