Year 4/5 Teacher
Location: Taunton
Start date: September 2026 until July 2027
Salary: £150 to £235 per day based on role and pay scale.
Connex Education is working in partnership with schools across the Bath and Wells Multi Academy Trust (BWMAT) to recruit an enthusiastic and dedicated Year 4/5 Teacher for a part-time opportunity in Taunton, starting in September 2026 and continuing until July 2027.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a teacher who is confident delivering engaging Key Stage 2 learning and is able to take full responsibility for planning, marking, assessment, and classroom delivery for 2 days per week.
The Role
We are recruiting a Year 4/5 Teacher for a part-time placement involving:
- A Year 4/5 teaching role from September 2026 until July 2027
- 2 days per week on a part-time basis
- Full class responsibility, including planning, preparation, marking, and assessment
- Delivering engaging lessons that meet the needs of pupils across Years 4 and 5
- Working closely with school staff to support progress, behaviour, and positive outcomes for pupils

What We're Looking For
- UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – essential
- Experience teaching within Key Stage 2, ideally Years 4 and/or 5
- Confidence with planning, marking, assessment, and full classroom responsibilities
- Excellent classroom management and communication skills
- A flexible, reliable, and professional approach to teaching
