What is the job role?
We are looking for a positive, dedicated and engaging class teacher who can create a classroom where children feel excited to learn, confident to contribute and motivated to achieve. You will bring learning to life, build strong relationships with pupils and have high expectations for what every child can accomplish. Whitley Abbey Primary School is looking to appoint an excellent Class Teachers to join our team on a fixed-term basis to provide maternity cover in a Year 5 class.

- Is an enthusiastic and effective classroom practitioner with high expectations for every pupil.
- Creates engaging, well-sequenced learning that enables pupils to make strong progress.
- Uses assessment effectively to identify pupils' needs and adapt teaching accordingly.
- Is committed to inclusive practice and ensuring pupils with SEND and disadvantaged pupils achieve well.
- Establishes positive relationships and clear, consistent expectations for behaviour and learning.
- Builds strong relationships with pupils, colleagues and families.
- Is reflective, collaborative and committed to their own professional development.
