Role Description/Criteria

The successful applicant will have:

  • An understanding of and a willingness to embrace the MACS 2030 Strategy, including the MACS Vision for Instruction and Vision for Engagement.
  • A passion for learning and teaching and will be able to build strong relationships with students.
  • The ability to lead the learning in the classroom with an understanding of the Science of Learning and Explicit Instruction e.g. retrieval practices, Daily Review and Checking for Understanding.
  • An ability to foster a classroom culture based on consistent predictable routines.
  • A collaborative mindset and a commitment to working in a team environment.
  • Knowledge of the Victorian Curriculum 2.0 and the ability to plan and implement engaging learning experiences for all students.
  • Proficiency in the use of relevant technology to enhance student learning.
  • Commitment to the Catholic ethos and will support the Catholic Identity of the school.
