About the role
Gain valuable knowledge of how Operations & Maintenance concepts are developed for future wind farms, considering strategic, technical, environmental, societal and commercial factors.
- Evaluate emerging O&M technologies and methodologies for potential use in future wind farms.
- Visit operational sites and, after completing basic training, travel offshore to gain first-hand insight into day-to-day offshore wind operations.
- Actively support the team across a range of O&M concept activities.
- Take ownership of a project relating to an O&M concept for a developing wind farm or an emerging technology.
Job requirements and experience
- Current enrolment in Mechanical, Civil or Electrical Engineering, or another relevant science or engineering degree.
- Eligibility to complete a year in industry placement as part of the degree course.
- Very good verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to coordinate workloads independently and meet tight deadlines.
- Confidence working in a diverse team and engaging with a range of stakeholders.
- Willingness to travel to other sites when required, with travel expenses covered.
- Motivation is crucial; your cover letter will tell us why you’re a suitable candidate for this opportunity, and how it aligns with your studies & career plans.
- A minimum of five years’ residence in the UK due to the potential requirement for National Security Vetting.

This position is aimed at those currently studying who are eligible for a Year in Industry Placement. For those who will be graduating Summer 2027 we encourage you to apply for our graduate programme which will be advertised in January 2027.
An offer of employment in this role may require holding active or ability to pass National Security vetting to SC level. Failure to obtain and or maintain National Security Vetting to SC may result in the removal of job offers and or existing employment.
