Role Description

This is a part-time, remote Yoga Instructor role focused on delivering safe, inclusive, and effective virtual yoga sessions for MantraCare members. In this role, the instructor designs and leads classes in styles such as Ashtanga and Vinyasa, adapting sequences for different experience levels and physical abilities. The instructor collaborates with wellness and clinical teams to align sessions with broader care plans, responds to member questions, and maintains high standards of professionalism, punctuality, and online engagement. Additional duties may include:

  • Tracking attendance
  • Providing brief post-session feedback or recommendations
  • Staying current with best practices in yoga, safety, and holistic wellness

Qualifications

  • Strong Yoga Instruction skills, with the ability to safely guide individuals and groups through structured sessions.
  • Proficiency in Ashtanga and Vinyasa practices, including sequencing, alignment, and modifications for diverse needs.
  • Demonstrated Teaching skills, including clear explanation of techniques, pacing classes effectively, and supporting different learning styles.
  • Excellent Communication skills for virtual settings, including clear verbal cueing, empathetic member interaction, and professional online presence.
  • Recognized yoga teacher training certification (e.g., 200-hour or equivalent) from a reputable institution.
  • Experience delivering yoga classes online or in hybrid environments, with comfort using digital platforms and basic technology tools.
  • Knowledge of injury prevention, anatomy fundamentals, and safe modifications for participants with varying physical conditions.
  • Commitment to inclusive, culturally sensitive, and gender-neutral instruction that supports members from diverse backgrounds.
  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment, manage a flexible schedule, and coordinate with cross-functional wellness teams.
